He mentioned a case he had recently beat during the first pre-trial hearing where the defendant fired a gun (not sure the details on the weapon) during an altercation - I believe it was at his home. No one was injured. He told the cops that he wasn't in fear for his life, but that he didn't want the guy to kick his ass.
The lawyer was happy about it, and didn't even charge the defendant because he was his poker-buddy.
He said a similar case he took in a more rural jurisdiction resulted in the defendant having to take a misdemeanor charge. |
