[Ben]: | Windows security | No discussion found | Laughable, is all I have to say about it. Today I had to rape the security of a Windows XP Pro computer in order to fix it (locked in a startup cycle due to a damaged userinit.exe file). Repair console required admin login - admin account is disabled. What to do?
Toss in a Linux boot-disk, play with the registry and suddenly you can do anything you want as the administrator in the recovery console or through the actual logon - without a single password. Funny, that.
Remember, system security is nothing without physical security. |
