[Ben]:To answer a rhetorical question ... Discuss This [0 comments so far] View Comments
"If you have two planes, one where people are thoroughly and properly screened and the other where people could opt out of screening, which would you want to be on?" [John Pistole] asked.

THE ONE WHERE I CAN OPT OUT OF SCREENING AND AM TREATED LIKE A HUMAN, NUMBSKULL. Every. Single. Time.

I live in a state where a law abiding person can carry a gun on them. Nearly everyone carries or has ready access to a knife. I'm not afraid of weapons. As to bombs, a dedicated terrorist will eventually find a way to smuggle a bomb onto a plane no matter how stringent your rules are.

If I had a choice, I would joyfully pick minimal or nonexistent security along with the minuscule chance of being attacked by a terrorist over being felt up and probulated by overpaid, power-hungry perverts. If I had that choice, I'd pick the "dangerous" aircraft in a bloody heartbeat.
