| [Ben]: | Iraqi Food is Delicious | Discuss This [0 comments so far] View Comments | An Iraqi friend I've mentioned before who goes by the name Jason invited Cara and I over for lunch on Sunday.
His wife is a fantastic cook. I can't pronounce (much less spell) the names of the dishes we had, but there was a rice/beef concoction wrapped in grape leaves, onions and peppers. There were fried potato dumplings with a beef filling and something similar to egg rolls, as well as a cold salad and pizza. I don't mean there were a few of each, there were piles and piles of everything.
The conversation was interesting too. It was fascinating to hear an Iraqi Muslim's perspective on certain issues.
Anyway, we had a great time and it was enjoyable to meet their family. |
