[Ben]:Bourne Ultimatum - movie review Discuss This [3 comments so far] View Comments
I watched Bourne Ultimatum the other night. I remembered LawDog's review of the Bourne Syndrome but it really came out when I watched this flick.

It's not the deviation from the original plot that bothers me. It was the filming style. The jump cuts were so spastic, so frequent and so distracting that it was difficult to finish the movie.

I tried counting jump cuts during even relatively calm portions of the movie but it was almost too distracting to keep count. I think they probably averaged something like one every four seconds or so, except for the fight scenes, of course, where it was more like four per second. For 115 minutes.

Bizarre. I really think they spent a lot more time doing it badly than it would have taken to do it well.
