I was unimpressed. Biden was more relaxed, but consistently socialist. Palin flip-flopped between advocating socialism and freedom repeatedly which came across as weak. They both spent considerable time attacking and defending the Presidential candidates. For those of you reading Anathem, Biden struck me as a Rhetor.
One part I particularly liked was when Biden came right out and said that he didn't think that taking money from the "wealthy" and giving to the not-wealthy should be called wealth redistribution. You see, in newspeak, wealth redistribution is pronounced "fairness".
Palin had to spend much of her time trying to defend McCain's history. I think if I were in her shoes, I'd have to say something along the lines of: "Well, Joe, I can't say I agree with all of Senator McCain's decisions. He's made some stinkers for sure. I'm most critical of the decisions where he voted with your candidate."
One thing I saw a lot of was campaigning for more government oversight in ... well ... everything. Even Palin pushed that cart around a good bit.
No thanks. |
