The Mark I designation indicates the rifle was intended for use with the Pedersen Device, an attachment that essentially turned the bolt-action rifle into a semi-automatic rifle using .30 caliber pistol ammunition. The serial number range on this rifle indicates it was produced toward the end of 1919 when the Mk I series wrapped up.
Carrol Carlson modified this gun with some stock engraving on the right-hand side of the pistol grip, a Lyman 48 receiver sight and a Jaeger adjustable trigger. I have honestly never owned a gun with a better trigger than this.
As soon as I get a chance to take this rifle to the range, I'll let you know how it shoots.
