Fantastic!

For you folks who might doubt him ... go look for yourself. The official calendar shows them as working Mondays and Fridays, but I am also of the understanding that those are treated as travel days - usually meaning that while a few members of Congress assemble on those days, they don't discuss anything particularly important.

This is especially appropriate because yesterday was the last scheduled day in session for Congress this year. That's right, kiddos, Congress is done for the year. Given their days off and the idea of starting "work" days when they feel like it, Congress works about half the number of hours that your average full-time employee would work. For this, they receive at least $165,200 per year. Given the number of hours they worked this year, that's almost exactly $160 per hour for Representatives and $176.68 per hour for Senators.

Are your congresscritters worth that?
