Several thousand Japanese folks paid approximately $1,600 each for "poodles" that were not really poodles. Before you think that they were simply scammed, let me disabuse you of the first things that came to your mind. They were not fooled by animals with impure poodle heritage. No, these weren't even mutts of different or unclear breed. In fact, the critters they bought, believing them to be a breed of dog, were not even dogs.

No, this is just not possible. We live in a world today where people with sixteen hundred dollars to spend on a pet have the capacity to - at no additional cost to them - complete a quick search online to see what a poodle actually looks like. And have the Japanese in question never heard of the difference between a carnivore and an herbivore? Did they never ... I mean ... how could ... it boggles the ...
