| [Ben]: | Gun Laws: Part 551523547884 | Discuss This [0 comments so far] View Comments | A coworker who has known me for years and knows that I am have a passing familiarity with US gun laws, asked me today about what it takes to buy a gun. Apparently he had been involved in a discussion regarding the recent Virginia Tech shootings and wondered what the level of restriction was in this state.
Even without going into Title II weapons and even trying to stick to just the high points of the various laws, I still ended up talking for about ten minutes then trying to answer some other questions ("What about hunting?", "Carrying a gun?").
It really becomes obvious how tortuous and senseless the various gun laws are when you sit down and try to explain them. |
